Arnis - The smallest city in Germany!

The ride along the banks of the Schlei from Sieseby is wonderful, though the sandy track can be a bit hard going. At Sünderacker there is a ferry to Arnis. Once an island, and now famous as the smallest city in Germany.

Just a couple of streets but busy with tourism. We ventured to the chapel to try and find the family pew of our friend Otti, whose forebears came from here.

The tiny church has been lovingly restored. But the family pew was no longer to be found.

If you try hard, and maybe with a bottle of something strong, you can just about make out the name! 😄
